From barely-there neutrals to carbon-blackened tones, we blend colour into the very fibre of the wood using natural stains, reactive finishes, or traditional fuming to create our complex tones.

Surface texture
We texture wood by hand to reveal its grain, enhance its patina, or recreate signs of age and use. From heavy brushing to skip-sawn marks and hand-scraped finishes, we control texture to enrich the sensory and visual depth of every board.

Finishing details elevate the experience. We roll, bevel, or square-cut the edges to create sharp modern lines or soft heritage effects. Details like this alter the rhythm and shadowing across a floor, and influence how it integrates into the wider architecture.
Finish with purpose
From bare wood looks to lustrous sheen, we choose finishes that amplify tone and texture while protecting the floor. Oils, hardwax, and lacquers are applied in slow, air-dried layers creating lasting surfaces that feel as good as they look.
