Babington Chevron

Restoring Antique French Oak calls for a careful understanding of what gives the timber its value. In Babington, our makers preserve the original patina and the natural and man-made markings that carry evidence of its former life. Golden-brown tones draw the eye first; closer inspection reveals darker accents and the individual history held within each piece.

The chevron format gives this richly varied oak a precise architectural rhythm. Measuring 85 × 595mm, the blocks bring changing grain and historic surface detail into the angled composition. Hand-polished undulations catch the light, while hand-rolled edges soften the junctions between adjoining pieces. Burnished Hardwax Oil Satin lends a gentle lustre to the restored surface.

Babington Chevron has a 20mm, two-ply engineered construction with a nominal 4–6mm wear layer and is UKTR compliant. Use Care System 2 for ongoing maintenance.
