Babington Parquet De Versailles

Babington brings Antique French Oak to our registered Woodworks Parquet de Versailles design. Each element aligns precisely with those in the surrounding panels, carrying the geometry across the floor with exceptional continuity. This carefully resolved composition reflects the mastery our makers have developed over decades.

Within the framed lattice, golden-brown tones reveal expressive grain, dark knots and historic markings. Restoring centuries-old oak requires close attention to the details that give it value. Our makers preserve its original patina and the natural and man-made traces of its former life, giving each panel an individual character within the ordered pattern.

Hand-polished undulations catch the light across the timber, while hand-rolled edges define the adjoining pieces. Burnished Hardwax Oil Satin enriches the oak’s colour with a gentle lustre.

Each 980 × 980mm panel has a 20mm, two-ply engineered construction and a nominal 4–6mm wear layer. Babington is UKTR compliant and maintained using Care System 2. Your Woodworks Specification Consultant can arrange samples and advise on architectural details made to complement the floor’s tonal values.
