Babington Random Width Plank allows the character of Antique French Oak to unfold along the grain. Widths of 80–160mm and lengths of 0.6–3m create a varied layout, giving each board its own place within the floor. Golden-brown tones are punctuated by dark knots, natural fissures and historic markings that invite closer inspection.

Our makers draw on decades of reclamation and restoration expertise to preserve the qualities of this centuries-old timber. Original patina carries evidence of its former life, while hand-polished undulations bring depth to the surface. Hand-rolled edges gently define the changing board widths. Finished with Burnished Hardwax Oil Satin, the oak takes on a soft lustre that enriches its colour and grain.

The planks have a 20mm, two-ply engineered construction with a nominal 4–6mm wear layer. Babington is UKTR compliant and should be maintained using Care System 2.

Architectural details made to complement the floor’s tonal values are available on request. Speak with your Woodworks Specification Consultant to arrange samples and discuss the wider details of your interior.
