Reclaimed from Bridgewater Docks in the North of England, where it had been in use since 1860, Bridgewater Pine carries a direct connection to Britain’s maritime and industrial history. Originally grown in the forests of North America, these timbers spent more than 160 years within the dock buildings, acquiring the patina and markings that make this finite collection among our rarest reclaimed woods.
Golden tones, darker surface traces and prominent knots reveal its long history. Our Grade I restoration preserves the original features of each board, retaining the colour shifts, grain and natural markings that give the timber its individual character. The polished original patina and hand-rolled edges bring these details into focus. Bridgewater Pine is supplied unfinished.
The solid planks are 20mm thick and available in three width ranges: 100–190mm, 200–290mm and 300–450mm. These varied proportions offer considerable architectural scope, with the broadest boards giving an expansive view of the pine’s expressive grain.
Our role is to prepare this valuable timber for continued use. Bespoke architectural details can be made to complement its tone and proportions; your Woodworks Specification Consultant can advise on available boards, samples and the requirements of your project.
