Burmese Dark Teak Plank

Deep brown grain and muted golden tones give Burmese Dark Teak a quiet richness. Beneath this palette lies a history rooted in the grand residences of the Dutch East Indies, where Western architectural ideas met Indonesian building traditions.

From the early 1800s, these homes housed Dutch, Indonesian and Chinese elites. The teak is salvaged as the historic residences undergo renovation, then restored by our makers in our English workshops. Its distinctive grain, knots and natural markings bring the character of recovered timber into another architectural setting.

Burmese Dark Teak is smooth sanded and finished with Oilwood Traffic Super Matt, giving the surface minimal sheen. Hand-rolled edges define planks in widths of 90–130mm, with random lengths adding variation throughout the floor.
