Fortnum Parquet De Versailles

Fortnum Parquet de Versailles brings seventeenth-century Antique French Oak into our registered Woodworks design. Its intricate composition reflects the precision of our British floorcraft: every element aligns perfectly with surrounding panels, carrying the pattern coherently across the interior.

Within this geometry, the timber reveals a rich range of chocolate browns, warmer oak tones and dark historic markings. Fortnum became a favourite among our makers when we acquired this richly weathered oak. They devote considerable time to its restoration, preserving original patina and hand-polishing the surface’s gentle undulations. Hand-rolled edges give each component a soft definition, allowing the individual pieces to remain visible within the larger design.

Burnished Hardwax Oil Satin enriches the colour and lends a subtle lustre to the restored surface. Each 980 × 980mm panel has a 20mm, two-ply engineered construction with a nominal 4–6mm wear layer.

Fortnum is UKTR compliant and should be maintained using Care System 2. Complementary architectural details are available on request through your Woodworks Specification Consultant.
