Designed by Andrianna Shamaris in collaboration with architect Thomas Leeser, this is a space where every surface has been curated, every detail purpose-chosen.

Shamaris is at the very forefront of modern organic furniture, serving leading architects, designers, stylists, and influential figures worldwide. Her pieces are available on her website and through 1stdibs . Speaking with 1stdibs, Shamaris describes the project, situated in her own penthouse apartment and her most personal to date, as “about imperfection.” Her vision called for texture over color, and form over ornament.

This ethos is felt most powerfully underfoot. The floors - wide 17th-century French oak boards - were carefully reclaimed, restored, and finished by our artisans. The use of butterfly joints, precisely inlaid to bridge and stabilize the boards, adds a layer of visible craft that’s as functional as it is expressive. It’s a nod to traditional joinery, elevated through considered placement and deliberate contrast. Every detail is a statement in texture, age, and authenticity.
